Brija Cosmetics 'Charmed' Collection - 4 Eye Looks!

Charmed was my first official favorite TV show. I started watching it when I was young, probably nine or ten years old, and at the time I felt like slightly devious watching a show about witches and demons. I pretended to write spells and use the powers that sisters Phoebe, Prue, Piper, and Paige had. It's a show I'll continue to love as I grow older, and I thought it would be perfect as Brija's first collection.

The collection features 6 shadows

available separately for $5
or all together for $27!

Find these at Brijacosmetics.com or Brija's Etsy Store (Currently 15% off with code 'SADFORSCHOOL)

A video on my youtube channel will be coming soon

Inspired 'Tiger' Eye Look!

I love looking at eye makeup photos on Instagram. There are some crazy looks, yet also some looks for every day wear. This morning I found a beautiful white, peach, and brown look that I knew I had to try - @mentalshiver on Instagram. My collection of pigments is still growing, and I wasn't sure if I had a peach mineral shadow.

I've been wanting to try out the ANF cream blushes as shadow bases, so I decided to use my 'Peachy Rose' cream blush as a color base for the look. It is my absolute favorite color to wear on my cheeks lately too! It didn't apply too thick or too pigmented, but it did make the coral color I used in the middle really pop. TThe Coral shadow from the ANF is on the peachy side and very wearable, even though I was intimidated to wear it at first!

Products Used:
Benecos Dramatic Mascara in Deep Black

*Regarding the cream blush for lasting power, it lasted longer than the RMS Beauty cream shadows, but still did crease a tiny bit on me. I think I'll be testing these out again!

The look came out amazing! It really reminds me of a tiger. If you guys want a video tutorial, let me know! And check out instagram for inspiring eye looks :) I recommend the hashtag #EOTD or #eyemakeup

Wish List #1

I've been very inspired by all the natural beauty and lifestyle blogs I've been reading lately. I'm constantly checking on Bloglovin', a site that allows you to 'follow' blogs and posts updates on one update page so it's super easy to stay up to date with all your favorite blogs!

From reading all the blogs, I now know about a TON of new natural brands and products! So, I thought I would share my new wish list with you! I've also found some natural products on my own I'm excited to try.

WiSH LiST

Zosimos Botanicals Honeybush Acne Serum
-I placed an order with Zosimos the other day and I'm really excited to try this in the $3 sample size. The ingredients look AMAZING. I'm hoping this will replace my Skin Ceuticals Phyto+, because that has phenoxyethanol and I'm on the move to 'ultra-pure'. The Phyto+ is more for fading scars, but these ingredients look like they will be great for preventing acne and therefore hopefully no more scars!
Ingredients: Vitis Vinifera (Grape) Seed Oil; Citrullus Vulgaris (Watermelon) Seed Oil; Calophylium Tacamahaca (Tamanu) Seed Oil; Euterpe Oleracea (Acai) Fruit Oil; Vegetable Glycerin; Organic Cyclopia Intermedia (Honeybush) Leaf Extract; Tapioca Starch.

Zosimos Fool's Gold Cream Shadow
-I also ordered some mini pots as well, which are $3 little mini samples! There are a ton of options for samples and I'm excited to try the cream shadows.

Zosimos Primer Prep -
-I got a mini pot of this one too. It's tinted, but not supposed to be a foundation or anything. The one ingredient I'm a little unsure of is hydrolized silk. I've done some research but am not sure of the effects of it in skincare products aside from that it makes the product feel smooth. If it's anything like silicones, I'm going to be upset!
If you know anything about it, please comment on this post or tweet me @iluvjesse444

Waxelene - recommended by Mary from her blog Pure Makeup

Osmia Organics Spot Treatment - Found out about it from Britanie's Favorites Video

Osmia Luster Lip Repair - From Britanie's Blog

Osmia Lavender Pine Soap
-Two of my favorite scents combined! This sounds amazing. $12 for me is pretty pricey for a bar of soap, but hopefully in the future I'll get to try it!

Nourish Deodorant in Lavender Mint - Also from Britanie's video

After I finish my Honey Girl Organics Toner, I was to try some pure rose water or hydrosol as a toner!: Organic Bulgarian Rose Water

Jane Iredale Magic Mitt - Found out about it from Britanie's post as well.
-This is currently number one on my wish list. It's a mitt made of thin microfibers that apparently removes ALL makeup with only warm water. It gets great reviews and I'm really interested to see if it works for me!

Shikakai Powder
-Also going to pick up some more Shikakai powder to mix with some brown sugar or raw sugar for a scalp scrub. I love the cleansing power of Shikakai! Cleans but doesn't strip, leaves hair soft, no conditioner needed!

That's it for now! What are some things on your wish list to try??

Jane Iredale Active Light Concealer REVIEW + PHOTOS

SHADE #1
This is a review on using it for UNDER EYES only
- (I use the All Natural Face Cream Concealer/Foundation Pot for blemishes - only around $5!)

Price: $27 is pretty steep for a concealer. Shipping is free on the Jane Iredale website

Packaging: 2g/.07z per tube. I spent quite a long time looking for a concealer with a brush similar to the Touche Eclat! However, after trying it out, I realize this type of applicator doesn't quite work for me. I prefer using my Sigma blending brush as a stippling brush with a pot concealer.

Brightening?: Yes! It's very brightening and reflects like well. I may just feel this way because it's the first actual LIGHT concealer I've used in over a year that's lighter than my actual skin tone. (My RMS beauty concealer matches my skin tone)

Coverage: The coverage is alright, but the concealer isn't as yellow as I think it should be. Yellow really seems to counteract dark circles for me much better than a neutral shade.

Staying Power: Not very good. Seems to start fading with an hour. (See photos for how it wears through out the day).

Creamy? or Dry?: It FEELS creamy, but on me - the concealer is very dry. It cakes up within minutes of applying and leaves a splotchy patch that lightly shows my purple dark circles through.

Overall - I'd probably give it 2/5 stars if that. I like the color (after my cheeks settle down from their morning redness!) But really don't like how much it cakes up.

NOTHING ON (a little scary!):

Right after Applying JI:
(It really brightens + reflects light! No foundation so my cheeks look a little red after just doing my makeup)

Up close: ALREADY getting cakey

After 8 hours Wearing JI:

Photo I instagramed of my COOL eye
that REALLY shows the dryness:

Hope you guys found this informative!
Please remember: This is my opinion - feel free to try it out; It may end up working for you!
